Law 4 - Players Equipment

After receiving feedback from County Football Associations, Leagues, Clubs and Referees, and taking into consideration their concerns, in particular regarding a player who cannot remove their wedding band, it has been decided to issue the following amendment to my letter dated 5th July 2006 (reference NSB/GEN/26)
Law 4 of The Laws of the Game states that “A player must not use equipment or wear anything which is dangerous to himself or another player (including any kind of jewellery)”
Exception:
A player, who can satisfy the referee prior to the game that their PLAIN WEDDING BAND is unable to be removed, will be allowed to cover it with tape.
(This only applies to a plain wedding band and no other type of jewellery)

This amendment is to ensure that no jewellery, which can be physically removed, is worn by players. It recognises the fact that, sometimes through the passage of time, wedding bands become extremely difficult to remove.

Regards
Neale Barry

BBFA DARTS Scheme

Development and Referees Training Scheme

This scheme has been running for the past year for invited referees in B&Bucks. This season anyone at level 6 who has put forward for promotion is eligible to join. As can be seen below, it involves six evening meetings at the Bucks cricket club sports and social club in Aylesbury. All meetings ned to be attended but if you can’t get to a specific date then there is a parallel session running(on different dates!) in the south of the county where you could pick up a missed meeting.

All North Group sessions will take place at Bucks CC S&SC on a THURSDAY commencing at 7:30pm and ending about 2130h usually.

Criminal Reference Bureau (CRB) Verification Process

PLEASE NOTE:
Referees that have not completed their CRB checks, will not able to register with county to referee on any league matches for the 2007/2008 season.

Please remember to register as soon as possible.

Committee Meetings

The next Committee meetings will be held on Monday the 30th July 2007.
